Matt and Jennifer ~ E. Session

This weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Matt and Jennifer’s engagement session. These two are adorable and I can’t wait until there wedding this summer. We got to see some goats and a cat that would not leave us alone! I’m allergic to cats but I swear I’m the cat whisperer! Matt and Jennifer it was wonderful spending some time with you guys and getting to know you a little bit better! Oh and I forgot to mention, they are a gorgeous couple!

I’m going to end it here seeing that it’s 2 a.m. and I have a shoot in the morning and Adam’s office starts its move tomorrow as well!

Chick Night!

Last night my church C3 hosted Chick Night with special guest Christine Caine from Hillsong Church in Australia! It was so amazing to see 2000 woman come together to learn more about Jesus Christ! I learned so much tonight and can’t even begin to explain how wonderful her message is! I was taking some photo’s for the event so I thought I would share a few with you guys. I encourage all of you to check out her site and her campaign against sex trafficing, A21 it’s explained more on her site that I have linked. I won’t try to explain it all because her site is much more informative than I could ever be.

    Snow Day!

When I was younger I was in chorus.  There was this song we sang during our winter show that was about waking up to a snow filled yard.  I think it went something like “there’s no school tomorrow, no school tomorrow, no school tomorrow if it snows!”  Yesterday for the first time in years we woke up to white everywhere!  Of course I don’t go to school anyways so that song doesn’t apply but I was singing it in my head all day long.  Adam and I braved the snow and I only took my Iphone b/c it was still snowing.  I was going to go back out with my camera but seeing that walking against the snow and wind for 10 minutes I got wind burnt to the point of a rash on my face, I opted not to go back out.  Here are some of my Iphone shots.  Yes I know if your from the north this is nothing new but hey this is NC we never get snow!

    TwentySeven

Today I woke up a year older. Adam and I had already had my birthday celebration this past weekend, Angus Barn and a Movie. I have a wonderful husband. Today Adam told me he had a small present, he gave me a card and some candy. It wasn’t just any candy, it was all of my favorite candy (Mentos, Now and Laters, Hot Tamales, and those caramel things with the cream stuff in the middle). What a sweet man I married, that was probably one of the most thoughtful things ever! I got to go out to lunch with Erica and Sophie and then got spend some time with my mom and dad. It was a nice day. So I don’t feel any different, I think the only thing that changes over time is stress, more of it…I’m working on that.

Now if I could just get that snow that they are talking about I would be a happy camper. Snow is the reason I was born on Jan. 19th 27 years ago. My mom and dad lived in the country far away from the hospital and they were calling for snow so mom went in to be induced. Fingers Crossed!

Here is a picture of us after The Barn :)!

    Sophie’s 2nd Birthday

Today was Sophie’s 2nd b-day party.  It was just a small family get together but she was adorable as always.  I got a few photo’s of her and her cake that are just too cute!  I’m going to keep this post short a sweet because I’m exhausted, probably because I’m getting old!  I hope everyone has a great day off tomorrow, I’m going to have a birthday lunch with my mom.  Adam has to work, he should have taken the day off it’s 2 holidays for him…I’ll post tomorrow about my birthday celebration!

She finally got that last candle out!

I’m off to bed, I’ll be a year older when I wake up!

    Pedicures, a boy, and a bug…

I’ve been busy having a stomach bug, fun stuff I tell ya!  I think it was just one of those 24 hour deals so I’m already in the clear, TMI I know.  This week was a pretty exciting week.  I found out that my brother and sister in law are having another boy!  This sealed the deal that I’ll have all boys when we decide to have kids in a few years!  I’m so excited and can’t wait to meet the little guy in a few months!

It was Sophie’s 2nd b-day on the 13th so yesterday I went with her to get her first “pedicure”.  Well she got her toes and fingers painted and little flowers on her big toes!  She was such a big girl, I should have brought my camera but I forgot it!  I’ll definitely post photo’s from her party on Sunday.

I have accomplished a few BIG things in this first month of the new year.  I haven’t bitten my nails and they look great, I want to get my first manicure. I have been a nail bitter since I was itty bitty so this is a big big deal!  I think I’m the only woman in the world who doesn’t like pedicures so I thought maybe I would enjoy a manicure more!  We’ll see.

I have wanted to lose my post wedding weight for a while and I have finally gotten very, very close!  The stomach bug helped a little but I’m not counting those lbs. unless they stay off.  3 more pounds!  Now I just need to start working out again!

I think thats about it.  Sorry it was a fairly uneventful post but I’ll throw a photo at the bottom for good measure!  This is from the really Sarah, do you need to make embarrassing faces collection!?!

Today I was officially accepted into WPJA! For those of you unfamiliar with this association it is the Wedding Photojournalism Association.
